Fished live bunker in the back bay with Capt. Al's proven live bait rig and was rewarded with some nice size Bass today 10/20. I kept this 22 lb. fish for the table. Wind was whipping out the the west and had incoming tide. Big Bass were pounding the bunker pods.

Rich and Andy hosted Captain John Mariano and had bass up to 35 pounds fishing around bait schools in the Western Sound. The name of today's game was patients as we had to wait for the wind to drop before finishing the shooting of the show.

Scott and Fred Golofaro of the Fisherman magazine were together today working on an upcoming live bait fishing story for the magazine. The fishing slowed compared to the last couple of days but we managed to get some great photographs. After using all our live bait we tried plugging with large plugs and had some great top water action.

Lot's and lot's of bass on the last of the outgoing tide between Atlantique and Point-of-Woods. Took plugs and Bass Assassins. Seemed to be feeding on herring.

Scott Leonard of Augie's and I fished today for bass with live bait. We found some bait in the ocean and then drifted them for bass inside. We had four keeper fish, nothing really big but they are getting bigger by the day. A friend had a 27 pound fish yesterday. Weakfish were also caught yesterday by Ocean Beach and Mackerel and herring were caught 2 to 3 miles south of the inlet. Things are looking up.

I will start fishing live bait for bass late this week. A lot of school bass are in the back bay so I will also be doing fly-fishing and top-water plugging trips for stripers. It finally looks like the weather is going to settle down.
