skimmer > Date Caught: 7/15/09 Location: Fire Island Head Buoy Pete Mercier after 40 plus years of fishing finally got his 50 pound Bass on a live bunker fishing pods early Wednesday morning with his two grandsons Jake and Max aboard. We boated over 16 fish with many fish near 40 lbs being released. Simply the best day we ever head! Jack
skimmer > I used Capt Al's live bait rigging techniques that I learned from his excellent video to catch this striped bass. The live shad it is gorging on was over a foot long. This was caught about a half mile from the Thumb in the inlet with the Shimano Tekota 600 Capt Al picked out for me at Augies. Kenny

skimmer > 10/20/2007 Fished live bunker in the back bay with Capt. Al's proven live bait rig and was rewarded with some nice size Bass today 10/20. I kept this 22 lb. fish for the table. Wind was whipping out the the west and had incoming tide. Big Bass were pounding the bunker pods. RichFiglia

skimmer > 10/29/2005 Fished with my cousin Glenn on the ebb tide, caught 6 bass to 41" on Shad, away from the fleet back in the bay, all alone by Captree,great finish to a slow start. Hopefully the beginning of what is to come. Tight lines. John Boudreau
