I went hunting today with my buddies Jim Conte left and Pete Johnston on right.
We had a great day with sea ducks limiting out and having a great time on a beautiful day in November.

Today I went to a game dinner hosted by Jason Little and Corey Black at Blackbirds restaurant in Sayville on the corner of Broadway and Montauk Highway. It is a great place to eat and all the hunting community was there. It was a lot of fun.

I had a great day of shooting skeet and sporting clays at the Suffolk Trap and Skeek Range in Yaphank (631-924-5600). This is Dean who I have not shot with for about 6 years or at least since this range was previously closed. It reopened a few months ago after much litigation due to complaints about noise from a few of the neighbors in the surrounding area. Thanks to it opening again I was able to reconnect with other sportsmen that I knew in the past.

Last few days of the 2006/07 duck season.
We hunted a few days until the end of the season on 1/28/2007.
We did a couple of days of lay-out hunting and had some fun.
Here is a line up of some of the birds we bagged on the last day. We had a few more before it was over. Some nice mature brant, broadbill, mergansers and bufflehead. The weather was actually too good and the birds didn't fly very well but you can't argue with mother nature.

Today was another great day on the water and doing what I love best in the winter and that is hunting ducks. Julien Libaire invited me for a day of waterfowling at the Pattersquash Hunting Club in Bellport Bay. This sunset was the end of a great day of hunting.
A late afternoon look at the saltmeadows to our north bathe in low light.
Captain Al with some fine ducks we bagged for the day including two pair of mallards, two black duck and a drake pintail.
Here is Julien with the beautiful drake pintail.
Julien with the line up of our bag for the day.
We had black ducks coming in to the decoys all day after we shot out limit of one a piece. It was nice to see them come to the decoys and then take off when I got up to film them or take a still shot. This one was sitting in the decoys for quite a while.
