As you probably have already guessed San Cristobal is no "Club Med" but of course that's the charm of this place. Like most things on this Island you improvise and make due with what you have.

This is one of the quaint bars in town that is popular with surfers and the locals. Many people who visit the Galapagos Islands tour with one of the numerous small cruise operations that island hop to the different locations each night. To see the Islands this way is great but you will miss out on the local culture and friendly island people.

I want to thank Andy LoCascio and Pete Santini for bringing me along to document this incredible once in a lifetime trip. Gustavo, his brother Umberto and the rest of his family made us all feel at home with great meals and hospitality.

Special thanks to Scott and his girl friend Angela for taking some great photos and helping me with the daily reports. Dr. Julie Ball was a pleasure to photograph and work with as well, she was especially patient with my "sarcastic witt" and constant adjustment of her bikini top.
