Captain Dave Dave DeGennaro of
http://www.hiflier.com is the east coast rep for the resort. Dave is working a Humboldt Squid to the surface.
Humboldt Squid are great eating and also a great bait.
Humboldt Squid are vicious and will attack their own when hooked. Look closely at the fins and you can see where other Squid have taken bites out of the distressed Humboldt.
Many local fisherman make their living catching live bait for sport fisherman. For $10, you can fill your live well up with live bait.
On our quest for Sailfish we ran into a pod of Dolphin, and of course the Tuna were not to far behind. This is Dominick DePhillips of Atlanta hooked up to a nice Yellowfin.
Dominick proudly holding his first on many Tuna of the day.
Because the Sea of Cortez is a relativity protected body of water, the seas are often very calm. Here is Fred Edwards working his Tuna to the boat.
While Fred fought a Tuna fish, this Brown Booby stopped to take a break on the boat railing.
Fred finally won the long battle with the Tuna.
This Yellowfin Tuna was one of seven boated before running close to shore in search of Rooster Fish.
