This is a shot of Julien and the black duck he just shot as it fell towards the water.
A good shot of the decoys from the hunters perspective with the muzzle of my trusty Benelli looming large in the foreground.
Julien after having searched the meadow for a downed duck. We had some snow and it was quite beautiful on the salt meadows.
Here is Julien all ready to go in the early morning. It was cold and windy but we were well dressed for the occasion. We were outfitted with the best that Cabela's has to offer in waterfowling clothing. Thank goodness for Cabela's.
This is the start of the day at about 7 am after just setting up on a point for the hunt. Julien's boat is a beauty. It is all glass and very stable. It is powered with a 60 hp Yamaha engine and has tremendous room for gear. With the woven mats from Cabela's it hides very well. We had numerous black duck come in and land within 10 yards of the duck boat and not even know we were there.
A great day of hunting on the Great South Bay.

Here is Jim Conte hanging out on his boat that we use as a tender. As you can see it was a comfortable day but not the best for duck hunting. However it was fun. Pete Johnston was also with us but I didn't get a photo of him on this day. Sorry Pete.
Captain Al working the stool boat and enjoying it.
Here is Craig Georgi my sharing the day with the regular crew. Craig had a good time and it was excellent all being together. Craig was the main instigator to get the Arkansas hunt together and we shared some great days this season hunting down south and locally. Craig and I will hook up and do some fishing in Florida. Craig mates on fishing boats out of Ismorada in the Keys during the winter.
It was a fun gunning season and now I am looking forward to a little time in Florida and then getting going with another spring bass season.
If you want to fish this spring then get in touch and set up a date. The prime time is getting booked pretty well already. I look forward to a great spring run like last year.
Happy times to all who love the outdoors.

Today was a great day of upland hunting and sporting clays at the TMT Preserve in Clinton Hollow, NY. Here is Buddy Cipoletti at the end of the day on the sporting clays course.

Pete Johnston and I went on a hunting trip to Arkansas. We got to see thousands of snow geese and ducks. Pictured is a guide Brian chasing down and putting the finishing touch on a goose that got knocked down and landed in an adjacent field. Brian shoots a 10 gauge and puts a hurt on them quick. Notice the bird with feathers flying on the right side of the frame.
