Saturday morning June 13, took my 10 year old son Sean out to the reef for some fluke and sea bass; Caught 2 keeper fluke, 2 keeper sea bass and a whole bunch of shorts , with some dog fish and skates in the mix ; Sean just loves having a bend in his rod; On the way back in we hit the inlet with some live bait; Drifted the same line I took with Capt. Al on thursday; First drop nailed a nice 35 lb bass; 2nd drop got bluefished; Sean had a friend coming over at noon so we had to beat it for the barn; Not bad for 3 hrs fishing; Sean had a great time.

A great ending to a beautiful season in Florida. 10 Mahi on the last tripwith the big guy topping 50lbs. The fish were caught in the offshore watersof Stuart Florida, Sunday May 24, 2009. Although the fish was caught by Sr.angler Paul Krause, it all happened with the help of an excellent gaff man, Kevin Krause (holding head of fish), and the crew of Rob Mailland (blueshirt), and John Albers. To bad the tournament for the day was cancelled dueto threatening weather.

Marianne Geoghan stopped and spent a few days in Stuart before joining her husband Mike a few days later in Orlando. Maryann has been looking to catch a Sailfish for quite some time. She is quite proud to have beaten her brothers and three sons to the punch. Way to go Marianne!!!!!

Sorry for the late report, just catching up with some much needed rest after a full day of fishing with Tony C. and Mario F. aboard the
Piscivorous on Friday 10/24. It was a beautiful morning and found bunker right away outside of Captree with the rest of the fleet, filled the well and went to the inlet to catch the outgoing tide. Saw a whitetail making it across the inlet from Demo to Overlook beach. Finally found some fish and dropped a few boatside until Mario rescued us and was the the hot reel with 3 bass in the boat and 2 gorilla bluefish on Captain Al's clip rig.

I went fishing with my Dad on his boat this past Tuesday morning and it was a nice day on the water!
Quadruple Header Shad at Thumb. Catching bait was crazy that morning with about 15 boats drifting and moving to keep shad underneath. You could see the bait easily on the fishfinder.
It was fun to use the little baitcasting rod and reel that Capt Al personally recommended to me while I was at Augies this past summer.
I used Capt Al's live bait rigging techniques that I learned from his excellent video to catch this striped bass. The live shad it is gorging on was over a foot long.
This was caught about a half mile from the Thumb in the inlet with the Shimano Tekota 600 Capt Al picked out for me at Augies.
