This was yesterday with a good size but only a juvenile Goliath Grouper caught out in the Gulf, probably somewhere around the Ten Thousand Islands or Gullivan bay.

I am not in Florida but my buddies are and they are having a good time fishing. Here is Wes Little with a nice snook caught in the back bay waters around Marco Island.

Today was a windy day and not one for fishing in the Gulf. Wes, Craig and I fished Fiddler's Creek instead. Here is the craft that all three of us fished in for the afternoon. What's even more scary is that some of the alligators in the Creek are bigger than this boat. Visions of Captain Hook "Tick Tock".
We jumped three tarpon between 20 and 40 pounds but couldn't get one to the boat. Here is Wes with a snook about 20 to 25 pounds. I love it because as he is holding the fish for the picture, it clamped down on his finger, consequently the funny face.
Snook don't often jump but in the creek they go airborne all the time. Here is Wes's big snook going ballistic with airborne acrobatics. It was a great thrill and a great fight.
Florida is filled with wildlife. Here is a bald eagle watching us fish in the Creek. There was a pair of them in the tree but one left before I could shoot the photo.
We often troll the edges of the Creek with Rattle Traps and score with nice Largemouth Bass. Here is Craig with a good bass, one of three that we caught today. I don't know who looks better, the fish or Craig.

If you think that I am a crazy fisherman then you have to know that someone has me beat. These photos are of 2 year old Tanner Little, Wes Little's nephew. He is the most die-hard fishing loving person I have ever seen. He will play with his little fishing rod or mess with the baitfish in the live-well all day and never complain. Eight hours on the boat is not a problem. Here he is with a spotted trout that he caught all by himself on his mini rod. He just wipped him into the boat. He does really catch these fish on the rod that you see, no trick photography.
Nothing like a little sheepshead fishing to round out the day.
