Here we have Anthony who was high hook for the day. I still can't figure out how that happens but it does. Everyone fishing the same thing but one guy just gets all the action. It must be skill?

I fished today with Frank DeSousa, his brother Anthony and their pal Tom (right, left and center).
We had a good day of striped bass fishing with live bait. The action was hot in the morning and tapered off in the afternoon.
Overall it was a good day and we had an bunch of laughs.
And a big infected area near the mouth. Pretty interesting. If anyone out there knows exactly what it is I would like to know for my own interest. Please email me if you do.

During the course of the day we caught this 25 pound fish which was obviously diseased with what appeared to be a fungus.

I fished today with Alex Hazelton and Tom Corcoran (right to left). We had a good day of fishing with 11 fish up to 30 pounds. The morning was beautiful with overcast and flat calm. By noon is was blowing 25 out of the east and raining hard.
It was another good day on the water despite the weather. It always is when the fishing is good.

I fished with Sam Benrubi of Ocean Bay Park today. We had a good morning of fishing for striped bass with live bait.
We ended up with four fish up to about 26 pounds with three of the four in the twenties.
We got the day in before the rains came so it worked out great.

I fished today with Fred McKibben of "Grace Bar and Restaurant" in lower Manhattan and his head chef Julien.
We had a good day of fishing under tough conditions. We boated a few nice fish before the wind came up and had lots of action and some missed fish. When the wind started to blow 35 it got tough. We had some pick ups but conditions were very difficult for setting up on the fish.
As always with Fred and Julien, lunch was great. A pasta salad that can't be beat. Thanks guys.
Another excellent day on the water with great guys.

I like this photo best as it shows the girth of this fish. It was very big in the shoulders and when I cleaned it I found it loaded with big baits.
Another excellent day on the water. A little rain didn't bother us a bit. When the fishing is good nothing else matters.
