I had the day off today and guess what? I felt like fishing.

There are a lot of fish moving in from the east and I wanted to check it out. It looks like they are just arriving. My neighbor Mike has some nice fish on jigs just east of the inlet.

I plugged three fish of 29 pounds, 24 pounds and 15 pounds and they all looked clean and just in from the ocean. This is the 24 pounds fish with only one blemish on the body and nice and green with a big fat belly and nice shoulders. It was definitely an ocean fish.

I had another big fish on and it must have wrapped the leader all the way to the main line and broke me off after about almost 10 minutes. It was a big fish but sometimes you don't win, the fish does and it cost me a plug.

All fish were released.

Another good day on the water.
